Kick off the holiday season with a little sparkle! Arts in Education of the Gorge and Columbia Arts are teaming up again for a free family art-making morning with teaching artists Shelley Toon Lindberg and Nicole Goldman.
Learn the art of metal embossing. You'll use simple tools and templates to press patterns and designs into soft aluminum and make ornaments for your tree, or to give as gifts. No experience needed, just a willingness to try something new.
Short instructional demos start at 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM, with open studio time after each one. Drop in for whichever works for you! All supplies are provided.
- When: Saturday, November 28 · 11 AM–1 PM
- Where: Columbia Center for the Arts, 215 Cascade Ave, Hood River
- Ages: 4 and up (kids with a grown-up)
- Cost: Free, and donations are appreciated.
Please RSVP so we can plan supplies. Spots are first come, first served while supplies last. If you'd like to support free family arts education programming at CCA, you can add an optional donation at checkout.
Sidenote: The 28th is Small Business Saturday, so make a day of it and shop local artists at our Handmade for the Holidays market while you're here!
This event is made possible by a generous donation from Arts in Education of the Gorge.
