Auditions Announced for Fahrenheit 451 at the Columbia Center for the Arts

The Columbia Center for the Arts invites community members to audition for its fall production of Fahrenheit 451, the stage adaptation of Ray Bradbury's classic novel. Performers of all experience levels are warmly encouraged to attend.

Audition Dates: Saturday, July 18 and Sunday, July 19, 1:00–5:00 p.m.
Location: Columbia Center for the Arts, Hood River

Auditions will be held at the theater. Prospective auditioners are encouraged to review the novel or play in advance to help identify the role best suited to their interests and abilities. The production includes seven male roles and five female roles, with select performers cast in multiple parts.

The Columbia Center for the Arts also welcomes behind-the-scenes volunteers to assist with ushering, set construction, costumes, and general production operations. Anyone interested in contributing offstage is warmly encouraged to take part.

Rehearsal Schedule: Sundays (1:00–5:00 p.m.) and Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays (6:00–8:30 p.m.). The production opens with a preview performance on October 8 and runs October 9–25, with 11 performances and two brush-up rehearsals scheduled during the engagement.

About the Production
This stage adaptation of Ray Bradbury's classic novel portrays a society in which stories are prohibited and independent thought is increasingly imperiled. It invites audiences to consider the enduring significance of imagination, intellectual freedom, and human connection.
